First of all, there is no need for concern...Mom and baby are fine. However, this week the baby decided to move down...she was sitting quite high up against the rib cage and all stretched out, but now she decided to move lower. This concerned us because the books say she should remain high at this time and be moving around more. So, we called the doctor's office and the nurse agreed that it was about 10 weeks too early for the baby to move into this position. She also told us that all babies are different and do what they want. Imagine that...we have a baby who does things her own way!?!
We have also noticed that the baby is becoming much more responsive to outside stimuli. For instance, she responds to Daddy's voice and when the kitties lay on Mommy's belly and purr, she likes to kick them. The kitties, especially Murphy, are not impressed.
We have started playing music for the baby a couple of nights a week. We have started with Classical music and so far she has heard Tchaikovsky, Wagner and Chopin. We still have a few more composers to do before we move into some Rock 'N Roll.
This was also a momentous week for big sister Skyla, as we enrolled her in high school. She has Freshman orientation on Tuesday, 8/12 and the school year starts on 8/25.
Here is another picture of Mommy for everyone...this one was taken on the last day of Week 27.
