First Two Months

It is hard to believe, but Kian is already 2 months old! She has grown quite a bit and is now over 12 lbs and 24 inches long. Kian now takes three different medications for her stomach problems, but with each passing day, we notice that she is doing better and we hope that by 3 months, we might not need any more medication. Mom is hoping most of all, as she has had to greatly limit her diet and cut out dairy, caffeine, soy, gassy foods and spicy foods. Mom is really looking forward to the day when she can eat normally again.

We had a very nice Christmas as all of our family were able to visit (except Aunt Helen and Aunt Apryl). Kian got to meet her Aunt Angela and Uncle Johe as well as Grandma Debbie and Great-Grandma Plain. Kian slept through most of Christmas, but we have some very cute pictures of her in her Christmas sleeper. Kian also met Santa Claus for the first time this year. We look forward to next year, when Kian will be more aware of what Christmas is.

At Kian's 6 week doctor appointment, she received her first two immunization shots and she handled them like a champ! She goes back this week for her 8 week doctor appointment and will get some more. We will also visit with the doctor on her stomach problems and get an update.

As we mentioned earlier, Kian is doing better with her stomach issues and frequently gets 4-5 hours of sleep at a time. We have even had a couple of 6 hour stretches and on New Years' Eve, Kian slept for 8 hours straight!

We will try to do a better job of posting updates more frequently, but until then, here are a bunch of pictures...
Merry Christmas to All and to All a Goodnight...
